Overlooking the city of Bergen at sunset

Things to do in Bergen

Founded in 1070, Bergen grew up around its colourful harbour - the hub of commerce, seafaring and craftsmanship.

The architecturally unique Bryggen Wharf, has now come to symbolise the cultural heritage of the city and has a place on UNESCO’s World Heritage list.

The people of Bergen are proud of their city's traditions and look after their past because it is a part of their living present.
